Third Encuentro Latinoamericano de Arpistas, Peru

Clelia Mertens, our partner in Peru, is holding her third Encuentro Latinoamericano de Arpistas in Lima from September 28th – October 2nd, 2016! The programme offers a really intriguing focus on South American harp playing in many of its incredibly diverse forms. It ranges from Mercedes Gómez with Mexican ensemble Tierra Mestiza, to Lucretia Jancsa, principal harp with the Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional of Argentina since 1994, to the e-harp, e-guitar Harper Duo from Chile…and the Ginastera Concerto with Isabelle Moretti and the Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional of Peru, under the baton of Christoph Poppen. There is also a full programme of masterclasses, and a Camac exhibition throughout the festival.
