Yesterday, we discussed how both harps and harp music of Wales are very wide-ranging in their scope, unconfined to one particular style or instrument. The day before our Festival Camac in Nancy is now time to emphasise this point. The Triple Harp travelled from the courts of France and Italy to the valleys of Wales, and one of the best-loved pieces of Welsh harp music has crossed over effortlessly to France once again. To be precise, Jakez made a jazz version of John Thomas’s The Minstrel’s Adieu to his Native Land. We all hope you enjoy “The Minstrel’s Suicide”, either as an MP3, or as a ringtone for your mobile phone.
