The Sixth International Harp Competition, Szeged, has announced its programme! This much-loved competition was founded by Natalia Gorbunova in 2007, and her daughter Anastasia Razvalyaeva took over as Artistic Director in 2019. All competitions are full of uncertainty, but if you go for Szeged you can certainly be sure of a warm welcome, lovely and useful set works, and a beautiful setting in Szeged’s Reök Palace.

There are three competition categories: 14 and under, 19 and under and 25 and under, and the competition always celebrates a Hungarian composer and a major harp repertoire composer. For the sixth edition, it’s the turn of Kodály and Hasselmans.

Comprehensive information about rules, prizes, programmes and deadlines are available here on the competition’s webpage. You’ll also find the entry form, including upload details for the video preliminary round. The closing date for applications is September 26th, 2022.

We are very proud to again be principal sponsors of this sincere and supportive event. Camac harps will be in situ throughout the competition for you to practice and perform on. The Camac team wish you all – now, and when we see you in Szeged – the very best of luck!
