Rave Harps International Prestige Award: Results

Rave Harps, our partners in Singapore, launched their hybrid live-online competition back in January. This was an innovative concept to combine the best of both live and virtual music making: on-stage experience for those who could, international accessibility to everyone further away. The competition categories were also wide-ranging, including a section this year for non-professional adults.

A lockdown in Singapore delayed the live event by one week, but it was nonetheless possible to inaugurate the new Rave Concert Hall. Competitors from Singapore – in chamber music groups, no less! – performed live; competitors from elsewhere in real time on Zoom. Technology also permitted an international jury of Mieko Inoue, Gabriella Dall’Olio, YuYing Chen and Ann Yeung.

Congratulations are in order to all the winners, who you can hear again (online, of course) at the prizewinners’ concert and awards ceremony. Each competition category will feature one highlight before the prizes are awarded. Lever harp categories will be broadcast on September 11, 2PM in Singapore; pedal harp, the same time on September 12. On September 19 at 3PM, there will be a winners concert, including interviews with the laureats and jury comments. Tickets can be acquired here!
