Fifth International Competition in Szeged: results, U19 and U14

The Fifth International Harp Competition in Szeged, Hungary, has seen its busiest day yet, with the finals of the U19 category, and also the youngest group, the U14s. 

Again, everyone has been highly impressed by the level, and the jury’s decisions have not been easy!

Here are the results, with warmest congratulations to the winners. 

U19
First Prize: Almos TALLOS (Hungary)
Second Prize: Eugenia ALFIER (Italy) and Minja STOJANOVIC (Serbia) ex-aequo
The ex-aequo second prize is donated by Isabel Moreton, President of the Jury 

Third Prize: Jernej MISIC (Slovenia)
Special Prize donated by Andrea Vigh, for the best performance of Bartok’s Mikrokosmos: Jernej MISIC
Special Prize donated by Klara Weninger, in memory of harpist Richard Wenniger: Almos TALLOS 
U14
First Prize: Adrian IGNATOVIC (Slovenia)
Second Prize: Maja PATKOS (Hungary)
Third Prize: Maria ANCHUGOVA (Russia) and Villo KOLLAR (Hungary) ex-aequo
Special Prize donated by Miklós Maros, for the best performance of Rudolf Maros’s Suite for Harp: Marfa IAKUSHINA (Russia)
“Young Talent”, donated by Andrea Vigh: Anastazja KACPRZAK (Poland)
